Making a Change

When you decide to make a positive change in your life, it’s like planting a seed in the ground. Sometimes it takes a ong time before anything sprouts above the surface.
(Person plants a seed and waits impatiently)
Person: What’s taking so long? The darn thing is useless!
But that doesn’t mean nothing is happening. All that time the seed is germinating and growing roots so that when it finally does sprout, it will have a strong enough foundation to persist in the face of adversity. So if you don’t see immediate progress in your life, be patient with yourself. True change starts beneath the surface where no one can see it, but it sets the foundation for long-lasting, resilient growth.
